Orlando Area Town Hall: Tobacco Regulation

The Health Council of East Central Florida invites community leaders to participate in a Town Hall to discuss the regulation of tobacco in our community and examine solutions to tobacco policy issues that affect our community members’ health.

  • · school district principals and administration
  • · interested citizens

The Town Hall is free and open to community leaders and the public.

Time: 9 am-12 pm

The Town Hall will be conducted via Zoom.

The format will consist of three breakout sessions:

1) Smoke Free Policy

2) Tobacco Sales, Taxation, Zoning, and Licensing

3) Flavors

During registration you may select the breakout session of your choice.

This Town Hall will be publicly noticed in accordance with Florida’s Sunshine Law. This event is sponsored by the Health Council of East Central Florida in cooperation with the University of Florida Bob Graham Center for Public Service with partial funding from Tobacco Free Florida.

The Florida Health Policy Leadership Academy is a new initiative between the Bob Graham Center for Public Service and UF Health to empower communities with leaders who are knowledgeable and skilled in public health policy making.
