Careers in Public Service: Mignon Clyburn

September 9, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

This event occurred on Thursday, September 9, 2021 and a recording is available here.

The Careers in Public Service series in partnership with Beyond120 brings prominent figures in the community back to the Bob Graham Center to share their career insights and answer any questions that students have.

We are pleased to announce that our first Careers in Public Service speaker of the Fall 2021 semester will be the Hon. Mignon Clyburn, fmr. Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission. She will join us on September 9 from 3-4 p.m. on Zoom.

Clyburn will speak with students and recent graduates about her experiences at the FCC and working in government and public policy in Washington, D.C.

Earlier in the day, Ms. Clyburn spoke with the UF community in-person about the issues she knows best: the digital divide, broadband equity, and what we must do to move forward. A recording of her speech is available here.
